On May 31, 2025, the 300th birth anniversary of Lokmata Devi Ahilyabai Holkar was celebrated across India, particularly in Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. 'Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Women Startup Scheme': This scheme, launched earlier in September 2024, provides financial assistance and support to women-led startups in Maharashtra, with a portion reserved for women from backward classes and economically weaker sections. Agricultural Awareness Programs: The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) launched agricultural awareness programs in 723 districts nationwide, including Madhya Pradesh, to educate farmers on climate-resilient and sustainable farming practices.
Bhoomi Pujan Ceremony: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav performed the Bhoomi Pujan (groundbreaking ceremony) for the state's first Medicity and Medical College in Ujjain. This project is estimated to cost Rs 592.30 crore and is planned for completion before Simhastha 2028. Project Scope: This new facility will include a medical college, according to ET HealthWorld, nursing and paramedical facilities, research centers, and accommodation for staff.
